Annie Chen

Annie Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine is a professional Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture and herbal medicine) clinic conveniently located in Morrisville, the heart of the Triangle Region.  Hui (Annie) Chen, L. Ac., Dipl. O.M., is a North Carolina licensed acupuncturist.  She is board certified in Oriental Medicine (a dual certification in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology) by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and she is a member of North Carolina Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Jiangsu Provincial Association of Acupuncture, and Jiangsu Provincial Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China.

Annie holds a Bachelors of Medicine in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  After graduation, she worked about eight years as a TCM Physician and Acupuncturist at the Department of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital (NJDTH), the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School in Nanjing, China until she moved to the United States in 2001.  In two of her years at NJDTH, she worked as an internal visiting doctor in several departments, including the Departments of Neurology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Pneumology, Immunology, Cardiology, Oncology, Hematology, and Radiology.  This very rare opportunity exposed her to a much wider variety of diseases and helped her accumulate very precious experience in treating diseases using integrative approaches based on the tradional Chinese Medicine and the Western medicine jointly.


Annie is committed to keeping her knowledge and skill set on the cutting edge of her field.  She specializes in the treatment of pain management, cancer treatment support, mental health improvement, women's health, digestive disorders, neurological / immunological / endocrinological disorders, dermatology diseases, and suboptimal health status.  Besides acupuncture, Annie also has extensive experience in using Chinese Herbs to treat many kinds of diseases.

Annie is the proud wife of her husband, a talented engineer.  Together they have two terrific children.
